About this wedding inspiration editorial at the Haus 820 in Lakeland FL
I love putting together editorials with other amazing artists, and this one was for the books! I got to work with an amazing floral designer, Shean Strong. If you have taken a glimpse into his work, you know he doesn’t just put flowers together for your wedding. He’s a true artist and also an amazing creative director. Since we did not use a planner for this editorial, it was nice to be able to gather direction from him and our other participants.
We used whimsical notes while still maintaining a minimal and earthy feel. We worked with a whimsical dress designer, Julia Marie Chew. We also included stationery by Samantha Meyer Studio, who also added to our whimsical feel with celestial notes. As you see, we really wanted this to be a collaboration with other true artists. In the end, we even attached balloons to the model’s veil to add that extra kick of creativity. We loved the Haus 820 space and open area. Carla Krause with Glam Culture did amazing on the hair and makeup. And of course, our gorgeous model, Macy Sun, made this whole editorial effortless and worked so well with our concept.
