About my shoot at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah
I was going to Utah to photograph a wedding, and I thought why not put together something creative while I was there! I had SO much fun visiting this area. To explain what this place is, let me just copy and paste some info about it lol.
“The Bonneville Salt Flats are a 30,000 acre expanse of hard, white salt crust on the western edge of the Great Salt Lake basin in Utah. The salt flats are about 12 miles long and 5 miles wide with total area coverage of just over 46 square miles.”
Yep, its pure salt! I even picked up a piece of the ground and had to taste it myself LOL. It was incredible. Truly a wonder. It goes on as far as the eye can see, and on one edge you can see the mountains in the distance. Its like being on a different planet. Very un-earthly.
I found these 2 models online and they were down for my crazy idea to go to this place and put on a golden cape!
This is shot entirely on Fuji 400h + Portra 400 & my favorite, Psychedelic Blues Film. Developed and scanned by https://thefindlab.com/.
